Whether I use the analytics plugin or put the analytics code in the header.php. The results are always around the same. 70 per day. On the other hand statcounter gives me usually several hundred a day and up and down sometimes 2000 a day. But analytics never goes above 100 a day. EVER. Looking at Statcounter I can see that the landing page results are usually under 100 a day, but article results go up and down by hundreds and some days thousands. I keep thinking analytics code in the HEADER.PHP is only counting the landing page. Seems logical, though I have no idea really. I called Godaddy and they gave me one bit of advice that works with some sites but not Comedy Central. In the embed code add the “s” to the http. It worked with SNL, NBC and MSNBC. But not VIACOM. Viacom is bad news, always has been. Before I read your replies I deleted the plugins by FTP and installed them again. They came back with the old settings which was odd. There lingered SUPER CACHE errors which made a mess of things but it did basically work. This morning I deactivated one and they all disappeared again. The add about 2 to 3 seconds to PINGDOM speed reslutes. Googling these files I find explanations on how to rid them from browsers, and windows, but nothing is said about servers. * I tried various WP malware detectors from your links. None of them found anything amiss at all. * Now I am wondering if perhaps all these file results I see from PINGDOM may be between me and PINGDOM and not the server at all? It looks like it removed all the widgets from the theme and added some widget options in the CUSTOMIZE THEME area that were not there before. Or something else happened at the exact same time I used your plugin. 🙂 * Good news is it is fixable with a bit of work! I have tried 20 or 30 versions and either it goes error 500 or I get the same problem. So it must be something else? * It seems CSS is okay, or the layout is correct. It must be JS that is gone? It is so bad it is making me ill. My last backup is a month ago. 200 articles… I tried old .htaccess and no .htaccess same problem. Yeah, that was the first thing I looked for and found it in the uploads/ folder and deleted it. I did a search and no .json on the server. But thanx… Do you think the WP update sucks and I should delete the whole thing and install WP fresh? The thing is, its all fine with my zip of the older theme, but when I update the theme it all comes back. Something about updating?
