    Hi @redaxxa

    Sorry for the delay, could you solve the problem?

    Did you try using an external CRON?

    Regards,

    Hi John,

    This feature is not available in the current version of WPeMatico or its addons, however you can add it manually to the functions.php file of your theme.

    Then you have to assign a category to the campaign and use the slug of that category in the filter, replacing the text “category-slug” in filter.

    After this, the posts created by WPeMatico and assigned to that category will have the rel=”canonical” to the sourcesite, you can check it in the source code of each post.

    add_action( 'wp_head', 'etruel_add_meta_tag', 0 );
    function etruel_add_meta_tag() {
    	global $post;
    	$post_id = $post->ID;
    	$post_permalink = get_permalink( $post_id, false );

    	$wpe_campaignid = get_post_meta( $post_id, 'wpe_campaignid', true );
    	$wpe_sourcepermalink = get_post_meta( $post_id, 'wpe_sourcepermalink', true );

    	if (has_category('category-slug',$post->ID)){
    		remove_action('wp_head', 'rel_canonical');
    		echo '<link rel="canonical" href="'.$wpe_sourcepermalink.'" />';
    	}
    }

    Hi @okdan,

    Sorry for the delay.

    The Professional addon will probably help you get what you need.

    But to confirm this we would need to do some tests with more data, before you buy.

    If you’re interested, please create a ticket in our support system and we’ll continue to research your case further as it wouldn’t be the free version.

    Hi @okdan,

    Let me help you.

    The free version of WPeMatico gets the content directly from the items in the feed, those tags you mention are probably custom tags from the feed.

    I would like to analyze it, if you can send it here or you can also create a ticket in our support system to follow your case from there.

    Regards,
    Manuel

    Hi @multimastery,

    This question has been answered in our FAQ. Please check out the answer here: https://etruel.com/faq/how-to-force-all-links-on-content-to-open-in-new-browser-window/.

    I believe this will help you solve the problem. However, if you need further assistance, feel free to get back to me.

    Hi @milauskas,

    To remove the duplicate Featured Image within the content you must activate the “Remove Featured Image from content” option inside the campaign or from WPeMatico Settings, globally.

    As for the content of the post, it’s strange, WPeMatico FREE gets the content directly from the items in the feed, if you want you can send me the feed that you’re trying to use to analyze it and know what’s going on.

    Hi @and-berd,

    Did you check if the feed has new posts? If not, WPeMatico will detect it as a duplicate because it has already been created on your site.

    Don’t forget to check WPeMatico’s requirements to make sure everything is ok from WPeMatico>Settings>System Status tab.

    You can also activate the Debug Mode from WPeMatico>Settigns>Danger Zone to check if it saves the logs.

    If the problem persists I invite you to create a ticket in our Support System to make a deeper analysis about your case.

    Hi @limbcode,

    In the article I sent you, it explains some ways to solve it, using a filter to remove the query variables, or using the feature included and optimized in the PRO version.

    If the problem persists I invite you to create a ticket in our free support system in order to study your case in depth.

    Hi @tajipong,

    If you don’t want to save any image on your site you can try disabling the “Store images locally” option from WPeMatico Settings or inside the campaign.

    However, in order to use an image as a featured image of a post the option “Set first image in content as Featured Image” will save it in your site.

    I also invite you to read this article where you will find more information on this topic.

    Hi @limbcode,

    This is not a bug, the problem is that the images include query variables in their URLs.

    Please take a look at this article, there you can find information about this problem.

    Hi @mjortiz116

    Thanks for your interest.

    WPeMatico FREE does not include the feature you need.

    You could try to edit your (Child-)Theme files to limit the characters of the content/excerpt and add a read more button.

    Or you could take a look at the premium versions of WPeMatico on etruel store, where they include this feature and many more.

    Hi @nbi1,

    WPeMatico FREE obtains the images from the content of the feed items, it’s possible that the feed you’re trying to use doesn’t include the images there.

    Maybe the feed includes the images in media/enclosure tags, or maybe they include query variables in their URLs, if so you will need features of the PRO version.

    Take a look at this article, there you will find information about how to get the featured images.

    If the problem persists I invite you to create a ticket in our support system to follow your case further.

    Hi @romonoutic,

    Sorry for the delay, are you still having this problem?

    You have activated the options to get the images and it does not work, I understand your concern.

    Please note that WPeMatico FREE gets the images directly from the content of the feed items.

    It’s very likely that the images you’re trying to get are being added to the feed from other tags, take a look at this article, there you’ll find information about how to get the images.

    As for campaigns being stopped, possibly due to timeout errors, take a look at your System Status from WPeMatico Settings to check that you meet all the requirements for use. Also take a look at this FAQ for better performance.

    If after that the problem persists, I invite you to create a ticket in our support system in order to take a better control over your case.

    Regards,
    Manuel
