If you have WP-Minify, WP-Total Cache or NexGen Gallery, please try disabling them and see if you can select a merchant. The easiest way to do this is to create an attribute called product_ean_code. That will cause this value to appear in the list of attribute mappings. Go to products > attributes and enter the attributes you would like to see listed. It won’t appear under feeds because the feeds are designed to go to specific merchant venues (such as Google, Amazon, etc) * To get the best results, I recommend you target your feed to the merchant venue you want to submit to. Google usually provides this in .txt format.
