I think they code they are referring to is the area where you can define the CSS selector. I’m pretty sure we added some custom sanitization code long ago, but we needed to give the ability for users to have CSS selectors like “>”. It is worth noting that showing, in a UI, the relationships between post types, taxonomies, and metadata is not something that can be derived very easily from WordPress core. WordPress does not provide that information within the registry which makes it almost impossible to provide a relationship tree with reasonable accuracy. * However, something like WP GraphQL may be able to fill the gap in terms of working with data schemes in WordPress… results will vary based on your set up and the UI is likely not what you are wanting.
