 * I’ve been having the same issue, and tried contacting my WebHost, they assured
   me CURL was enabled and active.
 * I tried using a new Mailchimp API, I tried using 4 different email addresses.
 * My conclusion: after opt-in, the redirection works fine. However, there is no
   follow up email by mailchimp to the email address. Therefore, there is no subscription
   generated.

 * The APP doesn’t work. At least for a lot of us it doesn’t, because there are 
   several posts with the same issue.
