Maybe it was a caching issue, no matter what it was it just makes my day. I just stumbled upon it by checking some other things on my live site. The settings for uploads are unchanged as far as I can remember. Go to: Ultimate Member>Settings>Email scroll down to the bottom of the page. Because user kate is me. I am the administrator and I do have all necessary -rwx permissions on all needed directories.
