Thank you for your reply. I have given the right to the author to create post. I have checked this several times. Also made a second user with another email and checked this myself. And it does not work. I have checked the functions.php and see nothing strange in the code. can you give me an example that you know of a plugin that restricts admin acces for author role. I never had this experience sofar.
