    1. How/where do you want the links to appear?
    2. What theme are you using? I’d be tempted to keep a backup of the sidebar.php
       file and then start tinkering with it.

 * In my previous post, change ‘fonts’ to ‘themes’ in the next last paragraph. Sorry
   about that:-(

 * I’ve been having the same problem [sidebar where it should be in Firefox, but
   dropped down to below the content in the left column in IE) for a while. I’m
   using a modified Kubrick theme (just made things wider). Tinkered with the width
   of the narrowcolumn and the sidebar with no joy; there was a lot of whitespace
   between the narrowcolumn and the sidebar. Added the * html hack suggested in
   one of these threads, but no joy.
 * I even tried making the sidebar div position absolute. That made things work
   OK in IE but it overlaid the left of the narrowcolumn stuff in FF.
 * One of the curve balls in my situation is that most of the content for the home
   page (index.php) in the theme is included in the index.php file itself and not
   pulled from the database, because of some irrelevant html issues with making
   it a regular WP page….
 * I can’t post a url because this is a private site using the membersonly plugin
   to control access.
 * Someone said somethere that Kubrick was not the best choice of fonts to modify;
   I’m open to suggestions. Basically I want a full width header with logo and some
   links, the sidebar on some pages (with the narrowwindow) but not others, and
   some control over the widths of the window and the sidebar.
 * I’m open to suggestions, although a quick fix would unquestionably be the least
   hassle.

 * The only active plugin is membersonly. I don’t even have the auto update plugin
   on the system.

 * I have tried the upgrade from 2.7.0 to 2.7.1 twice. Each time it fails.
 * I get no messages on the dashboard screen after I start the upgrade and enter
   the PW for the web host.
 * Looking at the wordpress directory on the server, I see a lot of stuff under
   wordpress/upgrade but when I look at the dashboard it just says that the update
   failed, try again. When I did that after the first failure, it just churned for
   at least an hour.
 * **What now?**
