 * Yes, of course I started the MAMP app again! But thank you for your help.
    I 
   gave up on MAMP and have started using Xampp which so far I have rebooted and
   tested things and everything seems to be working. I have made backups of my databases
   this time.
 * Would either of you be able to advise on the difference between the Bitnami stack
   or the plugins?

 * He’s not readily accessible to use my laptop unfortunately, hes been directing
   me over message.
 * What other options do I have to developing the website?
 * Last night I started it all again from scratch. I download MAMP and WordPress
   again, set it all up and uploaded the demo theme. Closed both apps several times
   and each time it relaunched the WordPress admin panel was still there. I shut
   down my laptop (don’t normally do this but was testing) and alas, I wake up and
   the same problem has happened as before. No admin panel…
 * What could this be?
