 * Exactly as leukosaima – I’m not officially working with SMF’s 2.0 release candidates.
I may, however, revisit that issue this weekend – as there appears to be a lot
   of people asking for it.

 * Scratch that – I figured it out. After having a simple hunch (the second I posted
above), I disabled the Backupify plugin that I added about the same time I updated
WordPress. For some reason it’s blocking updating plugins – I’ll have to rummage
through the code to see why.

 * [@paulyung](https://wordpress.org/support/users/paulyung/) – I’m not sure how
much I will look in to the latest version of SMF until it is an official stable
release, and not just a release candidate. I am making the plugin for WordPress
to work with the latest stable, non-RC versions of both.

 * Hey GabberM, I just took your feedback here and dropped it verbatim into the
Google Code page for the plugin – feel free to see it’s progress: [http://code.google.com/p/wp-smf-bridge/issues/detail?id=2](http://code.google.com/p/wp-smf-bridge/issues/detail?id=2).
 * To be honest, I did not do any testing with this plugin with SMF 2.x, only the
1.1 stable tag. The bridge works entirely through the SMF API that is available,
but I’m not sure how well it works with 2.x. I’ll have to dig into that one sometime
   this week.
 * I will, however, take a look into the issues with 1.1 right away. I plan on making
at least a bi-weekly if not weekly release of the plugin until things get straightened
out perfectly. If you wish to contribute, the Google Code page is the best place
   for you do do so.
 * I greatly appreciate the help and even if you wanted to complain – I’d understand
   perfectly.
 * macmend: I would also like to know what version of SMF and what version of WordPress
you are using. I’m not too sure of compatibility with older versions of WordPress,
nor am I too sure of the beta versions of SMF. Any additional information you
   can provide, the better. Thanks!

 * GabberM, I released version 0.2 of the plugin yesterday. It has some MAJOR corrections.
Please do note, however, that the plugin description has a typo – the version
of SMF should read 1.1 not 2.1. I will be fixing that shortly.
 * Thank you again for your support!

 * Hello there GabberM! I’ve been in the process recently of migrating all of my
projects off the old repositories (that used to reside on a dedicated server
I no longer rent) and putting them into Google code. You can visit the Google
Code page for this plugin here: [http://code.google.com/p/wp-smf-bridge/](http://code.google.com/p/wp-smf-bridge/).
 * To answer your question about still working on it – I am, and will more than
likely have something completed by this coming weekend, most definitely before
Thanksgiving. I’ve had a lot of people ask me about this plugin, and now that
I see how popular it is, I am resurrecting it. I would like to apologize about
the milestone for November 7th, that had to be postponed after I injured my right
hand (some major muscle and ligament damage the doc tells me). However, now that
I am somewhat able to type again, we’re back into the swing of things with these
   projects.

 * Yes, I apologize for the typo – that should read SMF 2.0 not 2.1. My site uses
2.0 RC1, so that was what the plugin was designed around. I have not tested it
with 1.1.x, so I cannot comment on how well it works.
 * On a side note, I should have a new version of this plugin available later this
   month.
