I renamed my plugin folder logged in succesfully and then renamed my plugin folder to its original state then refreshed admin page and updated all plugins which needed updating (7 of them) logged out to check I could log back in and everything is working OK now

Great – I didn’t know you could simply rename the plugins folder without killing the rest of the site – I’ll se how I get on

how do you reinstall without losing content? which files do you need to re-install and where? Is this possible?
