 * Got it. That makes sense and I will look into the link you provided. In fact
there was no `define( 'UPLOADS', '../media' )`;in my config file! Maybe my install
is that old? (It was set in Settings > Media.) Anyway I added it and it doesn’t
seem to have made a difference (tho could be caching issues). I will look into
the symlink solution. Thanks for all your help!

 * If this helps, for example, when I generate 4, I can watch them be created, but
the thumbnail of the thumbnail image is broken. Right click/link is [https://www.squeezehorns.com/media/thumb_tmp/20230929twotone2_thumb1.jpg?2126224182](https://www.squeezehorns.com/media/thumb_tmp/20230929twotone2_thumb1.jpg?2126224182)

 * Thanks! When I go to generate the thumbnails, it looks like it’s working but
the little imgs are broken. (Using a link from within my Media Library to the
screen capture img I just took)

same image can also be reached [https://www.squeezehorns.com/media/videopackGenerate.png](https://www.squeezehorns.com/media/videopackGenerate.png)).
When I ‘choose from video’, it stalls at ‘saving’ [https://www.squeezehorns.com/blog/../media/videopackSaving.png](https://www.squeezehorns.com/blog/../media/videopackSaving.png)

 * My WP knows where my Media folder is and works fine otherwise. I don’t use a
   plugin for that.
I slightly modified (for posting) the test command in/output,
replacing my actual server user name with ‘user’ and my site with ‘mysite.com’(
user/mysite.com). The test seems to complete, but I can’t find the output file
anywhere. Feels a little ‘permissiony’ which isn’t my forte.

 * Got it. I’m able to create a thumbnail jpg now using the ffmpeg command, so I
know I have the correct path to ffmpeg. But when I ‘Generate Thumbnails’ for
previously uploaded videos, it looks like it’s working (for 21 videos) but completes
a few seconds later and there is nothing new in my Media Library.
   My WP install
is a little unusual though. Probably ffmpeg isn’t finding the path to my Media
folder. I have my WP files in mysite.com/blog/ and keep my media files at mysite.
   com/mediaThe ffmpeg command looks like…/usr/bin/ffmpeg -i mysite.com/blog/../
   media/test.mp4 -vframes 1 -f mjpeg mysite.com/blog/../media/test.jpgAny suggestions?
   Thanks!

 * FYI, The stream of email notifications did stop. What was confusing was why they
continued to arrive after I’d addressed the issue. I realized later that the
emails were all dated from the day of the event. Somehow they’d (gmail?) ended
up cued up and delivered over the next few days. Thanks Again!

 * Got it. I’m still receiving them (FYI). Supposing I neglected to delete all of
the files detected by HPF, should the Dashboard Alert be indicating the remaining
files to be deleted? Or is there somewhere I can retrieve the original Alert

 * Just to say that I started receiving these today. The first time I logged into
my WP, the BPS Dashboard Alert was there indicating the specific file which I
then removed. But I continue to receive BPS alert emails and subsequent logins
do not show a Dashboard Alert…

 * Thanks! That sounds like my solution. Much appreciated. And good to know too
that 90MB is low. You’d think that as computing power, including memory, gets
cheaper over time, they’d up their memory limits (keep customers happy) but at
the same time they’ve developed Managed WordPress products (which are a lot more
expensive) so one has to conclude that there’s a squeeze play going on to motivate‘
   upgrading’.

 * When the empty header showed up as one of the random images, I right-clicked
   > view background image, which took me to a 404 with the name of the deleted
image in the url. The connection to that now missing image was in the database
Posts table. Once I deleted that entry the deleted header image was no longer
being ‘looked for’ by the random header generator. I’m impressed that I had to
get into the database to correct a problem so easily come by.

 * I guess I didn’t realize that Registered Users automatically become Registered
Subscribers as soon as Subscribe2 is activated.
It turned out that the reason
post notifications weren’t going out was simply that I hadn’t noticed that the
default for Appearance > ‘Disable email notifications is checked by default on
authoring pages?’ Is **checked**. And because there was other plugin info taking
up real estate on the authoring page I hadn’t even seen the Subscribe2 check
box beneath the Edit window. One thing that might help others, if you can confirm
it… Our friendly tech support at LightningBase told me that as long as I was
getting emails sent through Subscribe2 > Send Email, that would imply that the
server was sending okay. P.S. Creating a ‘Test’ category and bulk unsubscribing
everyone else from that category helped me do a lot of testing without bugging
   anyone. Thanks mattyrob!
