In reply to: [WPBook Lite] Always Posting as LinkJust committed 1.6.3 to the plugin repo which will fix the issue with the setting not being stored.
Let me know if that doesn’t fix the issue for you.

In reply to: [WPBook] Wall posting not working …SnapMac – are you using WPBook or WPBook Lite?
Do you have debug enabled in the WPBook settings, and is a debug file being created?
What happens when you visit the “Check Permissions” link in the WPBook settings page?

In reply to: [WPBook Lite] Always Posting as LinkBTW, when you post as a link, Facebook decides which image to show by looking up the url and looking for Open Graph metadata – WPBook Lite has nothing to do with it at that point – all we pass is a url of the post itself

In reply to: [WPBook Lite] Always Posting as LinkHmm. How do you know what is published is a link not a post?
Which items on the page you pointed to were posted by WPBook Lite?
Do you have enable debugging set, and is a debug log being created?
I’ll take a look, but the logic for posting as a post versus as a page hasn’t changed recently I don’t think.

In reply to: [WPBook] Your Facebook Access Token for WPBook has expired.Have you tried updating your facebook token?
Go to your wpbook page in your WordPress admin, and click on the “check permissions” link to open that page – let me know what it says there. (It should open a page inside Facebook with output about your configuration status).

In reply to: [WPBook Lite] Causes WordPress to have blank pages on loginOk, looks like somehow the encoding on the wpbook-lite file got set to UTF-8 with a BOM. Setting back to UTF-8 without BOM seems to have solved it on my local install.
Check out 1.6.2 I just tagged in the repo.
That said, even this note is just a Warning in PHP – doesn’t explain why you are getting blank pages in the admin which I can’t reproduce.

In reply to: [WPBook Lite] Causes WordPress to have blank pages on loginCan you tell me what error is thrown in the PHP logs?
Above you mentioned “this plugin was creating the famous cannot modify header/cookies error” – do you have the specific text of the error you are referring to?
Are you using a default theme? Is it possible there is some theme interaction going on?
Sorry you’re experiencing the problem but I’m not – perhaps has to do with the fact that all of my test blogs already have existing Facebook apps and settings – could be some kind of error in the logic triggered when those don’t exist.
I’ll test on a vanilla new 4.0 install and see if I can find anything – but really the best help would be the output from your blog’s PHP error log.

In reply to: [WPBook Lite] Causes WordPress to have blank pages on loginNo, I really don’t have any idea – do you have access to the PHP Error log for the site in question?
You say it’s only blank pages after logging in to the site, but not for public users?
Have you tried deleting all the WPBook Lite files and reinstalling?

In reply to: [WPBook Lite] Causes WordPress to have blank pages on loginVery strange – I’m running WPBook lite on a 4.0 blog and was on a 3.9.2 blog as well.
Is it possible there was some interaction with another plugin or some aspect of the theme, since this isn’t happening in any of my test blogs?

In reply to: [WPBook] Posting to open Facebook group – trouble granting permissionsjgupta07 – try updating to the latest WPBook.
I rewrote this weekend large portions of the plugin to use v2.1 of the Facebook API.
That means all users of WPBook will now be using version 2.1 of the Facebook Graph API, which should future proof us for a while.

In reply to: [WPBook] Posting to open Facebook group – trouble granting permissionsThanks Steve – that must be it. Because all my test apps are older apps they are able to use 1.x
That means I’ll have to rewrite parts of WPBook and WPBook Lite to support new apps.
jgupta07 looks like WPBook is not going to work for you until I rewrite that section to not use FQL or the REST API – using the newer graph API.
Not sure when that will be.

In reply to: [WPBook] Posting to open Facebook group – trouble granting permissionsHmm. That’s an error I haven’t seen before – just validated in my own WPBook install I don’t get that error.
Have you clicked on the link in “grant or regrant permissions for your userid”?
It looks like for some reason your version of the app is seen as calling version 2.1 of the Facebook API, when it should be calling version 1.0.
Is it possible you have another Facebook related plugin installed, which is including a newer version of a Facebook class / API library?
Try it with all other plugins disabled

In reply to: [WPBook] Checking permission dont workTynez – if your issue is the WPBook-Lite please post in that forum.
Most likely this is a settings problem either in your Facebook app side or WordPress side – but please open a thread in the appropriate foru.

In reply to: [WPBook] Incapable to show my css in my application FacebookSo your app’s homepage is: https://apps.facebook.com/lyon-metropole/
But it seems like that is not loading the WPBook theme – have you disabled the plugin?
If you go to your site but add ?fb_sig_in_iframe=1 to the end of the url, it should load in the WPBook theme.
See for example http://www.openparenthesis.org/?fb_sig_in_iframe=true
If that’s not working then something in your install is conflicting, and you’ll need to look at your PHP error log to see what that is

In reply to: [WPBook Lite] error in publishing to facebookThe warning on illegal string offset could simply mean that Facebook’s older base library is handling passing of the config array in a way more modern PHP libraries complain about.
What is your user profileID set to, what is your appID set to, and what kind of page are you trying to publish to?
