Oops. The second, more serious issue seems to have been a textbook case of PEBKAC. I forgot to edit Secondary Title’s options to make those visible on the newly created English categories with Polylang. My bad! I did it already and now they are visible on both en/archive/archive-exhibitions and /arquivo/arquivo-exposições category posts and category listings, as you can see. 🙂

However, the first issue still remains; if I ever wish to edit the secondary title on a translated post, I just can’t do it without deleting both it and its original and starting over, because the text input field is gone forever from the moment I use the Divi Builder and publish my translated post.

While on that subject, couldn’t secondary titles also be editable on the Quick Edit interface on the post database?
