In reply to: Can no longer access my site!I agree with the above.
If you rename
sydney-child/functions.php
to something elsesydney-child/old-functions.php
via FTP/similar, this might be enough to get you back into the site while you resolve the issue.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] BuddyPress Conflict – PHP NoticeAlso seeing this.
As a workaround, I added “return;” at the top of the load_tour() function.
/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-admin-init.php/** * See if we should start our tour. */ private function load_tour() { return; // <-- Added this line $restart_tour = filter_input( INPUT_GET, 'wpseo_restart_tour' ); if ( $restart_tour ) { delete_user_meta( get_current_user_id(), 'wpseo_ignore_tour' ); } if ( ! get_user_meta( get_current_user_id(), 'wpseo_ignore_tour' ) ) { add_action( 'admin_enqueue_scripts', array( 'WPSEO_Pointers', 'get_instance' ) ); } }
This has the effect of always skipping the wp_seo tour.
Not a major issue for me.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Moving WordPress from root to folderOk – so, easiest method is to include the line:
define('RELOCATE',true);
in your wp-config.php
( above where it says /* Thatβs all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ )Then, navigate to :
http://nspicer.com/musicfor/wp-login.phpAs per the WP support article:
5. Login as per normal.
6. Look in your web browser’s address bar to verify that you have, indeed, logged in to the correct server. If this is the case, then in the Admin back-end, navigate to Settings > General and verify that both the address settings are correct. Remember to Save Changes.
Afterwards, you can delete the code you added to wp-config.php

In reply to: Lightbox not working on a particular hostDo you have a URL for the affected page?
Generally speaking – Lightbox is a javascript technique, that is run on the client (i.e. the user’s machine). It would be very unusual for a server to block this.
That said, there may be some code on the server (ImageMagick…etc), that prepares your images (i.e. resizes them…etc) such that they can be delivered (when Lightbox calls for them).
Is there an error_log on the server that you can check for messages related to the resizing of images?
Alternatively, if you have multiple plugins/javascript libraries being loaded, it is possible that the combination of theses plugins…etc may not play nicely together. You can try switching some plugins off, or changing theme temporarily to isolate the issue.

In reply to: Help! Unable To Create Directory – Error MessageNote that –
By default, WordPress stores uploaded images in a new directory each month.
Eg:
/wp-content/uploads/11/image-uploaded-in-nov.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/12/image-uploaded-in-dec.jpgGiven we’ve just crossed over to December, this may explain why you are suddenly experiencing issues (and weren’t experiencing them previously).
Regardless, it’s still a permissions issue – the article I’ve mentioned should help.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Help! Unable To Create Directory – Error MessageThis error relates to file permissions on your server.
This can be a relatively technical issue to solve.– Do you have FTP access / similar?
– Do you have an IT provider that setup the server for you?To fix the issue you need to understand that the files on the server each have different permissions. These permissions need to be correct, if not – WordPress (or rather, the webserver user that executes your WordPress code) will not be able to upload/create new files (e.g. photos) on the server.
The following article explains the related concepts and steps (far better than I can). If you are unable to perform the changes yourself, you may be able to request the changes via your hosting provider.

I hope that helps π

In reply to: Cut off my picture of productYour store has a list view already (note the “View as” text at the top of the product grid).
You should check your plugin’s settings, to see if this can be enabled as some kind of “default display option”.
The above would be considered “the right way to do this”.
Alternatively, if you run the following javascript from your theme’s footer.php this may be sufficient:
<script> jQuery( document ).ready(function() { jQuery( "ul.products" ).addClass("list").removeClass("grid"); }); </script>
This only solves part of the problem for you though – as it doesn’t affect the size of the images. If it’s any consolation – I don’t think the page looks bad in it’s current grid state.
Be very careful changing files on your site. I am assuming you are changing these files in a test environment, or via FTP. Please note, if you use WordPress’s built in editor – there is a real risk that you can break the site and will need to login via FTP to remove the change you introduced.
