It turns out, and this was my oversight, that W3 Total Cache was the culprit. In my shock and concern, I seem to have hastily placed all blame on WP Smush. * My resolution was to disable the “JS minify” * I’d like to remove my poor rating since it was NOT WP Smush that was responsible for this problem.
