In reply to: [Ultimate CMS] rename an existing taxonomyHi again,
thanks for all your help.
Finally I understood I didn’t need to rename the taxonomy – it’s just the internal name…
I did exactly what you recommended: changed the label and rewrite rules, so the users can have a term in their own language, but the tax is still named the same.Thanks a lot for all your help again
just a reply to your note: I definitively would pay for this plugin, but it’s used in only one non-profit page and I’m not making any money on it either (wrm.org.uy if you would want to see the use of it)

@ipstenu,
thanks for your answer.
I’ve followed this already with no luck, but I have give it another try now.The thing is that when I’ve finished this happens:
1) http://www.domain.com/ -no problem
2) http://www.domain.com/wp-admin -no problem
3) http://www.domain.com/es -no problem
4) http://www.domain.com/es/wp-admin -no problem
5) http://www.domain.com/wp-admin/network -no problem
but:
If I try to access any admin site from within the menu My Sites > (site) > Dashboard then I’m redirected to:
6) domain.com/wp/wp-admin -this still works
7) domain.com/wp/es/wp-admin -this does NOT workIt seems like wordpress admin still thinks the site is located in http://www.domain.com/wp/
I’m using a plugin to switch between languages (MultiSite Language Switcher: http://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-language-switcher/) and it seems to pick up from somewhere this urls, so it has stopped to work (instead of go to domain.com/es it tries to access domain.com/wp/es)
The other thing is that if I try to save permalinks in my second site (/es) then I’ve got an error:
Warning: is_writable() [function.is-writable]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/nfs:/tmp:/usr/local:/etc/apache2/gs-bin) in /xxx…/domains/domain.com/html/wp/wp-admin/options-permalink.php on line 130
and if I save I’m redirected to domain.com/wp/es/wp-admin/options-permalink.php?settings-updated=true which in reality is the english admin site.
Is this related to the first error?in wp-config.php I have
$base = ‘/wp’;
What is this used for????I’ve tried to change it to
$base = ‘/’;
but no luckI’ve copied the .htaccess from /wp-admin/network/setup.php
RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] # uploaded files RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?files/(.+) wp/wp-includes/ms-files.php?file=$2 [L] # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ $1wp-admin/ [R=301,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^ - [L] RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) wp/$2 [L] RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ wp/$2 [L] RewriteRule . index.php [L]
I’m clueless!!!….
/thankfull for any help
/jJust for info:
did try 2.0.11, but same trouble as before:
(it adds entries in postmeta table, and they appear in the drop down list for existing Custom Field – so my own fields gets lost…)Did uninstall and went back to 1.19.
Deleted entries in wp_otions table phpmyadmin… (compared qith an old backup qhiche entries to leave)Everything is fine again.
/jsame here: using chrome Version 30.0.1599.10 beta-m on win7
wordpress multisite 2.6 – NGG 2.0.11

Hi!
did any of you tried 2.0.11 before you decided to uninstall?
Or did you unininstall 2.0.7?Anybody know if any of these problems are solved in 2.0.11?
I have som trouble with 2.0.7 – it adds entries in postmeta table, and they appear in the drop down list for existing Custom Field – so my own fields gets lost…

/javier@scaleslea,
did you try? did you find out?What I found with 2.0.7 is that my Custom Field was messed up (there were a lot of entries added in postmeta table, and they appear in the drop down list for existing Custom Field – so my own fields get lost…)
(I upgraded my multisite to wordpress 3.6 and to nextgen 2.0.7 at the same time)/best

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] alternative to dropdown menu in admin pageDennis (seems like I have some typos in last post – sorry! 😉
I have patched my own solution for now.
Posting here (don’t know if this is a correct place, but I see you are very active here…):in MslsMetaBox.php
edited lines 81-82:
` $my_query = new WP_Query(
array(
‘post_type’ => $type,
‘post_status’ => ‘any’,
/* ‘orderby’ => ‘title’,*/
‘orderby’ => ‘modified’,
/*’order’ => ‘ASC’,*/
‘order’ => ‘DESC’,
‘posts_per_page’ => (-1),
)
);`Now I have the not-hierarchical posts showing by descending modified date order (that is: last edited on top)
It would be nice if we could have some kind of checkbox or whatever to select orderby (title/date/modified) and order (asc/desc) in the metabox.
Thank for your time

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] alternative to dropdown menu in admin pageDennis, I knew you’
either you misunderstood my question, or you meant to point to this comment instead:
https://github.com/lloc/Multisite-Language-Switcher/issues/19But the issue https://github.com/lloc/Multisite-Language-Switcher/issues/27 also worries me… Is this a common scenario? How many are “lots” of articles?
