At some point the SHOW “site_title” and “site_tagline” got turned on. I was searching the THEME for the control. Is in WordPress under “site appearance”. One click fixed it. Having it work then not work gave me a place to start. I made a brand new page, used ShortnIt to make its shortlink T1604 and it still went to _Trashed. * created [http://nc3.mobi/shortn-it-test-page/](http://nc3.mobi/shortn-it-test-page/) works (left it up for you) * set short link to t1604, Updated, [http://nc3.mobi/t1604](http://nc3.mobi/t1604) and this appears [http://nc3.mobi/twitter-april-2016__trashed/](http://nc3.mobi/twitter-april-2016__trashed/) * So the “t1604” is not being re-pointed. If I had to guess I’d say there is a problem w/ShortnIt’s database. A utility that shows all the short links and their equivalents would be helpful, but I don’t see one. One item is HOW IT WORKS. That menu item has TWO sub menus: EXAMPLES and REFERENCES. * Using WPmobile, tap three-horizontal-bar menu (hamburger menu icon)in upper right corner. HOW IT WORKS shows only EXAMPLES. The plugin works under Win7/32, but not under Win7/64. There is a simpler solution that keeps the excellent functionality. * For me – On a Win7/64 machine, after logging in, i get the web site home page with no evidence I’ve logged in. On a Win7/32 machine, after logging in, i get the wordpress dashboard page. * The plug in does its job statically, making a modification and nothing else. ACTIVATE and USE the plugin to set the new admin-slug, then DEACTIVATE the plugin. All browsers are up to current release candidates. * Posting the URL isn’t enough to see the problem. The mal-functionality works in Firefox (which has add-ons) and IE (which has none). The problem also exists when starting Firefox in SAFEMODE. That is good to hear. * Once it you showed the file was good I changed the backup to transmit to another place and I am much comforted that years of work, updated almost daily, are again backed up. * I’ll post more when I know more. * Thank you.
