Pasting your shortcode definitely had a positive effect but since the issue isn’t 100% resolved I believe you’re correct and that the editor in use appears to be somewhat unstable. I didn’t think the plugin was the problem but I wanted to be sure. I’m going to address some of the other outstanding problems with the site/theme I’ve discovered and attack the sitution from that angle.
