This broke the checkout process, and we lost many sales due to it. * This is getting ridiculous – that GitHub report has been open for over 2 years!!! * Please reply with the number of hours that were put in to solving it in the last week. * I’ll tell you: 0. My client wished to solve the double-email issue urgently, and by doing the only known solution, it broke the site, and we have not seen any orders for hours. * This simply has to be made a priority. Why don’t you just put it in WooCommerce’s settings? In WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal, in the Smart Button Locations, ensure both “Classic Checkout”, and “Express Checkout” are chosen; 2. In Appearance > Theme File Editor > functions.php, add the following line to the bottom: add_filter(‘woocommerce_paypal_payments_use_place_order_button’,‘ __return_true’);(note, you really should have a Child theme set up, so that any settings added here are not overwritten, if your theme is updated. * For some reason, you must choose “Classic Checkout” AND “Express Checkout” in the WooCommerce settings. The reason we want this is that we don’t want to give one payment method preference over another.
