 * I’m using Atahualpa 3.7.15, WP 3.9.1 and Akismet 3.01. Akismet disables the Add
   Media button when writing or editing posts. It also disables the quick lookup
   for tags when I try to enter the first letters in a tag I want to add. I’ve checked
   by disabling all plugins and adding one-by-one. Only Akismet gives me that error.

 * Donncha,
 * Thanks for taking the time to reply. It puzzles me why this would happen.
 * I suspect that since I am not making a complete install and uninstall and not
   deleting the folders, but simply activating or deactivating the installed cache
   plugins, there could be some mix-up somewhere.
 * Having said that, I now switched to Hyper Cache, just for the sake of testing
   different cache plugins, although I do prefer Super Cache for its Preload function.

 * I made a very interesting discovery when logging my site speed over a couple
   of weeks with pingdom.com, comparing with and without W3 Total Cache, Amazon
   Cloudfront as CDN, and CloudFlare.
 * Without W3TC my sitespeed was about 3-4 secs, relatively stable
    With W3TC my
   sitespeed went down to about 1-2 secs, but fluctuated greatly With W3TC and CloudFront
   CDN my sitespeed went down to about 1 secs, but fluctuated even more than without
   CDN With W3TC, and with CloudFlare, but without CloudFront CDN my sitespeed rarely
   goes above 0.5 sec, often no more than 0.2-0.3 secs, simply amazing. I haven’t
   tried with W3TC, with CloudFront and with CloudFlare yet, but I’m quite happy
   with the results of CloudFlare without CloudFront.

 * Issue #1 solved. Dunno how, but suddenly the W3TC rules appeared in my .htacces
   and I’m quite sure I opened the right file the first time.

 * Interesting…I have the same issues.
 * 1. W3TC appears to be working (with CDN), but there are absolutely no W3TC rules
   anywhere in the .htaccess file.
 * 2. No redirect of files to www.
 * After adding
 *     ```
       RewriteEngine On
       RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.mt-example\.com$ [NC]
       RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mt-example.com/$1 [L,R=301]
       ```
 * the redirect works now, so #2 is solved.
 * However, #1 is still a mystery.
