@dooza – I went for MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress. It has 2+ million downloads, was last updated 7 days ago and has a 5 star rating. It also allowed me to get rid of another plugin as it can add the option to go onto the mailing list for the WooCommerce checkout.
Wordfence reporting it too. Sorry, I’ve swapped to an alternative on my sites.
Hi @imtiazrayhan,
I am still getting the same issue with anchor tabs on mobile. Clicking the “View all reviews” does swap to the correct tab on this and other products now. However, rather than the content at the top of the tab, the browser is positioned lower down the tabbed content (reviews) so the user has to scroll back to the top. Can I avoid this please?
Thanks very much,
James
Hi Imtiaz,
I can confirm that clicking the “View all reviews” does swap to the correct tab on this and other products now. However, rather than the content at the top of the tab, the browser is positioned lower down the tabbed content so the user has to scroll back to the top. Can I avoid this please? I get this behaviour on:
- Android Chrome
- Android Firefox
- Android Kiwi Browser
- Windows Edge- mobile emulation
- Windows Firefox – ” “
Thanks,
James
Hi @imtiazrayhan,

In reply to: [Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce] Tabs not workingAll is well for simple products. The problem occurs for variable ones.
I have reverted to WP core v6.3.2 and all appears okay, though the issue with 6.4 needs resolving.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Links to Cookiedatabase.org brokenThanks Roger. The recaptcha link is now working and a retest has no 404s. Odd!

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Links to Cookiedatabase.org brokenHi @rogierlankhorst,
Thanks for the reply. I took no further action assuming all was now well. I’ve just run the broken link checking again and it is reporting many cookiedatabase.org broken links again e.g. https://cookiedatabase.org/service/google-recaptcha/

In reply to: [Collapse-O-Matic] Collapse-o-matic users: Replacement plugins!@locksoft – you’ve done a good job there. I took an easier option and went for an accordion plugin based on a Gutenberg block. The one I went for gave lots of design choices and I am happy with the result. It too hasn’t quite got anchors links opening “drawers” but I can live with it or workaround this. collapse-o-matic is now 100% off my site. Job done – on to the next one.

In reply to: [Collapse-O-Matic] Collapse-o-matic users: Replacement plugins!@jrivett – this looks of interest too. If your theme uses blocks, there is a fairly new WordPress “details” block (info at Details Block – Documentation – WordPress.org). I thought it might be an option, but the styling options available through the interface are too basic for me – the summary and paragraph appear to take on the same styling (happy to be corrected). I (and others?) would want the summary to have different styling such as a heading. CSS might be an option. Using core WordPress functionality rather than adding another plugin, and the risk of it going unsupported, is clearly attractive.

In reply to: [Collapse-O-Matic] Collapse-o-matic users: Replacement plugins!Hi @susantau
I too am currently looking for a replacement. For my needs, it looks like one of the many accordion plugins will suit my needs. Yes, the design will be a little different but conceptually it will do the same thing.
The keyword “Accordion” will give lots of choice, you can then look at live demos / read reviews etc.
Good luck,
James

In reply to: [WooCommerce] V8.0.0 update – Missing Payment MethodHi @woo-hc,
Thanks for the reply. You asked:
Can you please confirm if the checkout blocks were working with this payment gateway before version
8.0
?I was not using blocks for my checkout so can’t definitively answer your question. I am certain the payment gateway does not support blocks so, the answer is probably not.
I’ll forward the payment gateway people the resources you listed – thanks.
I use my own plugin to add custom fields and behaviours to the cart and checkout. These have a lot of decisions e.g. if the cart contains an event booking show these fields and add them to the customer and admin emails. As someone who runs my own business and does everything going. I managed to take code from the web and adapt it to my exact purposes. From what I see, I think I am going to struggle with blocks, so while they look better and give a better experience, any custom development needs to be fairly straightforward or I’ll have to stick with the conventional cart / checkout.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] V8.0.0 update – Missing Payment Method@cooktec – This WooCommerce page (Cart and Checkout Blocks: Status – WooCommerce) shows many payment gateways are incompatible with blocks so, like me you will need to revert your checkout (and cart?) from blocks to the shortcode based versions. It includes instructions. I will be trying again (following these instructions this time). I still think this option should have not been forced on us – breaking the ability to take payments by some gateways. Also poor communication WooCommerce.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] V8.0.0 update – Missing Payment MethodI reverted to WooCommerce v7.9.0 and all is well with my checkout / cart pages. These pages are using shortcodes. As soon as I install 8.0.0 or 8.0.1 these pages use blocks even if I do not edit the pages. How can I use 8.0.1 but with shortcut-based basket and cart pages please?
