I am still not able to have the site handle an upload of a new header (and yes, the new header is 940 px x 198 px). * Now, on another new site, using twentyeleven, I get the classic “unable to create– is parent directory writable?” error. And even making the entire install folder 777 to test does not help with that. (And yes, I did change it back to 755….) I handled the situation exactly as ClaytonJames suggested. Worked fine….
