I’ve checked the link and confirmed the right one (I can tell because of what shows in the preview window within the block) but I’m still experiencing the same problem.
I have made it as a cover block with no content on the cover so it’s just the background (the gif), and then added the code you provided, however it only affects the logo file i have on the home page, and made no change to the gif.
I added
body.page-id-37
to stop it impacting the home page, but no luck either.

Thanks again for your time in responding – it’s much appreciated!
I tried your code exactly, and then swapped the link for the link of the gif as shown in my media section, but both have returned the same – a small image icon shown where the gif should load. Any ideas?
