 * I am seeing the same issue, the expired events are showing up on the listing.

 * The “New Event” has an expiration date of 2018-06-28. I have the Event Manager
   settings enabled to hide expired listings and to hide expired listings content.
   But the event is still showing in listings and the content is still available
   when you view the event.
 * I have Event Manager Version 2.3 installed.
