We do want to make it clear to users that this plugin **only** works whenever Contact Form 7 is installed so we have opted to name it `ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7`. If there is a hole in the plugin bots are getting through, we can’t replicate it. Cross-browser, JavaScript disabled, Mobile, it seems to pass the basic tests. To eliminate the possibly of bots maybe you can combine our plugin with the [Contact Form 7 Honeypot plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7-honeypot/) which is meant to “trick” bots. If the honeypot plugin is installed and you continue to get trickling spam submissions then it’s probably manual submissions. * We’re always looking for ways to improve our plugin. First thing’s first: log into your WordPress website. We suggest doing the following to help narrow down this issue. The below plugin will allow you to revert to a default theme and allow you to safely disable plugins ( you’ll need to keep Contact Form 7 and this plugin enabled to debug ). * > Take a full backup of your theme and database ( you should be doing this regularlly > regardless of issues, backups are great! ). Install the [WordPress Health Check & Troubleshooting](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/) > plugin. This will allow you to safely ( just for your logged in user ) disable > all plugins except Contact Form 7 and This plugin to see if the issue persists. > It will also allow you to switch to a default theme to see if the issue lies > with the theme itself. Install the [WordPress Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/). This will allow you to safely ( just for your logged in user ) disable all plugins except Contact Form 7 and This plugin to see if the issue persists. It will also allow you to switch to a default theme to see if the issue lies with the theme itself. At which point you can enable plugins until you find the one causing issues. * We’ll leave this thread open and hope to hear from other users who either have the same issue or are not having issues but the above will at least help you narrow down what could be causing this problem. Unfortunately, since theses are iframed in the provided google website we have no control over them. They will load everytime it’s requested. If you’re referring to the v2 captcha in a form, Google makes it difficult to size down. Either a configuration issue or conflict with the theme or plugins. It may be best to open a thread on [their support forums](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/contact-form-7/). One way to test this theory is to remove the reCaptcha shortcode, submit the form, and see if it has the same issue. * It appears that Contact Form 7 is not submitting dynamically (via JS) as it should. If you submit the form without filing out the reCaptcha you can see it redirects back to the same page and appends the Contact Form 7 ID. * You can install the [WordPress Healthcheck & Troubleshooting plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/) while following [their documentation](https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/) to safely disable plugins and revert to a default theme until you find the issue. When doing this make sure that Contact Form 7 is active during debugging mode and submit the form ( even with errors ) to see if it dynamically submits or it redirects. * If you’re dev savvy you can enable debugging to ensure there’s no PHP issues causing this error. Something is preventing the rest of the page from loading in either the parent theme or child theme. This means that nothing in `wp_footer()` will run regardless if someone adds in the ending `` tag. Odds are it’s a PHP error that’s stopping the rest of the script from processing as that’s a usual culprit when we see pages end abruptly such as this. It will probably need developer intervention. * You may be able to track it down with the following information as maybe there’s a place in the admin panel where it can be fixed. It stops right at the `organic- nonprofit-footer-text` – maybe there’s a widget with a shortcode under Appearance- > Widgets that’s erroring out. Maybe check The Customizer ( Appearance -> Customize) for anything that relates to the footer-text and empty out that section. * Hopefully the above information helps you narrow down what is causing this issue. If you activate a default theme and view the page source the last tag you should see is `` which ends the document. Before the document ends it’s standard practice to call `wp_footer()` which is where some crucial script runs which instantiates the recaptcha. * You can [enable debugging](https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/) and take care of any PHP issues logged by the theme or plugins. [The Debug Bar](https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-wp-debug-from-admin-dashboard/) may be helpful in this case.
