 * Hi simpmg,
 * My name is Melissa and I am the Social Media Manager here at iPage. We’ve been
   keeping an eye out on the forums to see about assisting customers wherever we
   can.
 * It sounds like you already have this issue diagnosed and know that you’ll need
   to re-install the theme at a minimum. Please make sure that all account and application
   related passwords are updated as a precaution. Also, I would not rule out plugins
   unless you have tested by disabling all of them and the issue persists.
 * Kind regards,

 * Hello upandadrift,
 * My name is Melissa and I am the Social Media Manager here at iPage. We’ve been
   keeping an eye out on the forums to see about assisting customers wherever we
   can.
 * It sounds like with the move over the database has not been connected and because
   of this the WordPress files are trying to get you to install. Have you created
   and imported the database as of yet? If not, you can create a database via MySQL
   Database in the control panel and then login to phpMyAdmin to import your database
   backup. You then will want to go to the File Manager and seek out the wp-config.
   php file and update the connection details to the new database name and your
   host of -yourusername-.ipagemysql.com.
    Please note – with both your moved files
   and your one step install – the domain is likely still pointing at your old host,
   so the changes made on our side will not be visible or accessible via your domain
   until you update the nameservers to ours and propagation has completed. You can
   check the files using -yourusername-.ipage.com while waiting for propagation
   to complete, but due to the saved pathway nature of WordPress, you will not be
   able to login as it will always want to redirect to your domain.
 * If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
 * Kind regards,
 * Melissa

 * Renaming the default home file was the correct way to disable the under construction
   page, aside from outright deleting it. We have a caching server though, so it
   might take a few minutes for changes and it may have cached on your browser as
   well. I am now able to see your site. Are you in need of further assistance?

 * Hi thelordsnewchurchphi,
 * My name is Melissa and I am the Social Media Manager here at iPage. We’ve been
   keeping an eye out on the forums to see about assisting customers wherever we
   can.
 * The main site appears to be built with our Drag and Drop Builder, so to incorporate
   a WordPress blog you would want to install it to /blog/ to separate the files.(
   You can actually name the folder it installs to anything you like, /blog/ is
   just an example.) These two builders use different coding languages and in order
   to make sure that the default page for the main site comes up (index.html) separate
   to the WordPress page (index.php) it needs to be in a separate folder.
 * I will reach out via more secure means to verify the security of the account
   so we can better assist you.
 * Kind regards,
 * Melissa

 * Hi SAHMOM,
 * My name is Melissa and I am the Social Media Manager here at iPage. We’ve been
   keeping an eye out on the forums to see about assisting customers wherever we
   can.
 * I’m glad to see we were able to assist with getting your WordPress site visible.
   We have a file hierarchy and by default it looks for index.html before it looks
   for index.php. Because of this, at least the base file of index.html for the
   Drag and Drop Builder (and/or the default “under construction” page) has to be
   renamed, deleted, or moved in order for the index.php of WordPress to shine through.
   Alternatively the .htaccess file can be altered to a different DirectoryIndex.
   This setup applies to any index file that is named separately or lower down on
   the list of files that are looked for first. (The list of files can be obtained
   by going to the .htaccess Editor > Default Pages > “standard default filenames”
   or via the link below.)
    [http://www.ipage.com/product/defaultPagesList.bml](http://www.ipage.com/product/defaultPagesList.bml)
 * Moving all your files to a sub folder will allow you to access them by going
   to -entersite-.com/-enterfoldername- to view them, but you can also access them
   anytime via the builder itself if necessary. Please let us know if you need further
   assistance.

 * Melissa

 * Hi emilynlazo,
 * When you develop a page on iPage and place it in the home directory we automatically
   add the Site Under development page on there, so your potential customers/clients
   know that something is coming soon. You can find that file in your File Manager
   and it’s called Home.html. Home.html has a higher priority on the default doc
   list, so it will show before your WordPress homepage. To fix this you have to
   either Remove Home.html, or rename it to a different file name such as Home_old.
   html.
 * I hope this helps you in your web building process.
 * Thank you

 * Hi lukelearmissile,
 * My name is Melissa and I am the Social Media Manager here at iPage. We’ve been
   keeping an eye out on the forums to see about assisting customers wherever we
   can.
 * The things Jess recommended are great. With update situations it is often a good
   idea to keep a backup to revert back to in case of an issue like this. I’d strongly
   recommend taking a backup of your database if you have not already, as we only
   keep the last three days and you’ll want a backup from before this issue occurred.
   To do so, go to MySQL Database in the control panel and click on Manage Backup.
   You then select a database name and it will provide you the dates available –
   click on one and wait for it to compress into a downloadable file. If you don’t
   have a backup of the files then let me know and I can check into this and reach
   out via more secure means. This way, if all else fails you can revert back and
   then update one thing at a time to find the issue.
 * Often when I hear about upgrade issues, it is that something during the upgrade
   did not complete for the plugins or application so something is missing -or-
   the theme or plugins are not compatible with the new version of WordPress. Have
   you checked the error log in your account yet? If not then please go to CGI and
   Scripted Language Support and click on Check Error Log, the most recent errors
   will be at the bottom.
 * I hope this information helps!
 * Kind regards,
 * Melissa

 * Hello gryffin13,
 * My name is Melissa and I am the Social Media Manager here at iPage. We’ve been
   keeping an eye out on the forums to see about assisting customers wherever we
   can.
 * When you initially installed to your main site you were seeing our default page
   titled “Home.html” first. This is a default file put in place so that your site
   will load something before you publish. As our system has a hierarchy of files
   that it looks for by default and Home.html is higher on the list then index.php
   you will need to disable this (Home.html) default file. You can use File Manager
   to rename the Home.html file to Home_old.html – the new name will make it so
   that index.php (which WordPress uses) will start showing for you after a quick
   clearing of cache and cookies.
 * In File Manager if you double click on the name of the file it will let you rename
   it.
 * I hope this information helps!
 * Kind regards,
 * Melissa
