 * I just verified by downloading the plugin from wp.org just in case they were
doing something weird and serving up an ancient version, but there is no `vendor/
ilab` directory. So I’m not sure where you installed this from but you should
   upgrade to the latest.

 * You are using an ancient version of media cloud. Haven’t used the vendor directory
   since 2017.

 * You need to install php-dom or php-xml on your server, depending on what you
are running. You should contact your hosting provider.
 * Also, we don’t really monitor this forum, you should open support tickets at
   [https://support.mediacloud.press/](https://support.mediacloud.press/) if you
   have purchased the premium version.

 * Except the math isn’t correct nor is the review even remotely fair or accurate
as it’s quoting prices for external services that we aren’t affiliated with in
any way. In fact, the author of the review tells you to use StackPath and avoid
Media Cloud, but that doesn’t make any sense because you can use StackPath with
Media Cloud and alot of our users do. In fact, StackPath has a tutorial on their
own site on how to use their service with Media Cloud.
 * We *don’t* provide cloud storage services, we only provide a means to use the
   ones you want with WordPress.
 * So saying that all of this costs this or that, that depends on who you choose
to use. It could be Amazon, it could be Google, or it could be StackPath which
the poster mentions that you should use.
 * Again, he mentions Imgix pricing as though it were our pricing. If you don’t
want to use Imgix, then don’t use Imgix. It’s optional. We simply give you a
way to use Imgix if that’s what you choose.
 * And it’s the same story with Mux. If you don’t want to use Mux, don’t use Mux.
Also, in defense of Mux, the math here isn’t remotely accurate but that’s an
issue you need to address with them. This plugin simply enables you to use them
with WordPress if that’s what you choose.
 * We don’t make any money from any of these services, we aren’t affiliates for
any of them. Use whatever service you want with Media Cloud. You can even setup
your own free cloud storage on your own servers with Minio and use that if you
   are so inclined.

 * I think there must be some confusion.
 * The plugin can’t import media **from** S3, it can only import media **to** S3–
meaning it can only copy files from your local WordPress server to S3 (or Google
Cloud Storage/DigitalOcean/Wasabi/etc), or copy new uploads to WordPress to S3.
 * You shouldn’t be deleting images from S3 without deleting from WordPress too,
so of course the plugin wouldn’t detect that because that’s not what it does
and that’s not how it should be used. It’s not a sync tool.

 * With regards to backblaze, version 3.0 of the plugin will support pluggable service
providers and backblaze is provided as an external add-on. Support has just been
   removed from the main plugin.
 * Backblaze is not a good fit for this, unless you are using it for an archive
   only.
 * The API is limited, the PHP SDKs that exist for it are poorly written and I’m
not particularly motivated to put the work in for a storage provider that offers
10% of the features of the others. I’d urge you to look at something more complete
like Wasabi if pricing is a sticking point for you. Google Cloud if performance
is important. S3 if you are doing other AWS work.

 * Imgix isn’t required to use S3 with this plugin. It’s recommended, but not required.
 * Cloudinary is also more expensive than Imgix with not as good quality.
 * Version 3.0 is coming out in two weeks that has a mini-Imgix built into the plugin,
if you need dynamic image generation. If you don’t need dynamic image generation,
   you can just use S3/Wasabi/etc.
