This only happened with the block editor, and if I didn’t have Classic it could not have been fixed. * The categories were gone, leaving only the first tier categories. All the tags were gone. The posts shows no categories and no tags (even 1st tier categories that still showed under Categories. (although Classic editor and Quick-edit could see and tick them, it wasn’t saving as a quick edit.) * FIX: Under Categories, I did a search on words in a missing category name. It was found under categories. I opened and edited it, and resaved, and it was restored. It wasn’t the permalinks, as these have been correct all along.
