 * Thank you for your reply. I didn’t realise it could cause things to actually 
   go wrong like that. I thought it would just slow it down or cause a little downtime.
   I will pay more attention in the future when these errors occur and take my time
   a bit more.

 * I have since been able to delete the local files and reinstall the two plugins.
   I think maybe the server I am on was a bit slow. I was still wondering though
   why the plugins had been removed instead of being moved to the disabled section.
   Does anyone know why this happened?
