 * I managed to resolve this myself. I’ll explain here so that others might benefit.
 * I am completely new to WordPress. I installed the theme using the functions available
   for managing and installing themes in the admin panel.
 * Once I calmed down from the panic of seeing things blow up, I searched for the
   theme developer and saw they had their own forums.
 * The matter was resolved by going downloading and unzipping the Suffusion them
   and then uploading it into the content/themes folder. It’s now working beautifully
   and is a rather beautiful theme.

 * I want to thank you. I was having a similar problem and I deleted the index.htm
   file and now it’s working beautifully.
