In reply to: [Polylang] Cannot translate photosI believe I explained it quite well. I could not load photos from Media onto English pages without deactivating Polylang first.
The link you provided shows something at odds when compared to the WP dashboard I am working with. Namely, under languages, Media on my end only shows the ability to deactivate or activate. There is no ‘settings’.
Regardless, I do have a work-around, which again defeats the purpose of a language plugin.

In reply to: Media – Gallery access with two langauges: IssueGood morning tokyobiyori,
you won the Internet! That was the problem, but how odd is that? A language translation plugin that cannot translate a .jpg? How is a photo language obsessive? The plugin can translate words, but when it came to 120118_4356.jpg, it was unable, I suppose. Quite odd that.
I cannot thank you enough!
Cheers!

In reply to: Disconnect between backend and frontend (google)Host provider corrected everything. Seems the issue involved a sub-directory. All is now fine.

In reply to: Disconnect between backend and frontend (google)If your meaning, when I physically type the address: http://scottishknightleather.com into the url bar, no it does not show correctly. It still shows a default website.
Frustrating!

In reply to: Disconnect between backend and frontend (google)Not sure how to better explain. I just checked with MS Edge. Aye, same issue.
Everything I’ve done to build me site is not showing when I view the site from a search engine. It shows only a very basic site with only the Site Name and Tag line and a default theme.
Everything I’m doing to build the site is from the WP Dashboard.
I hope that is a wee more clear…. 🙂
It feels like I haven’t clicked a ‘go live’ button somewhere. LOL!

In reply to: Maddening LoginI’m no IT expert, but am completely aware of that!
When working on my site in the backend, in order to get there I needed a WP.org login and password. Hmmm…. seems I wrote that down. Aye, I did! I wonder why I wrote that down (as I do with every website I am a member)…
