 * WordPress version is 4.1.1
 * How do I revise/delete my rating? I’m not finding any means to edit it. Given
   that my website lockup was caused by an outdated version of PHP and not by any
   misbehavior of MaxButtons, I would like to delete my one star rating. I just
   can’t find a way to do so.

 * Your are correct on your theory about PHP version. I’ve discovered 5.2.17 is
   running on my website. I’ve opened a ticket asking my hosting company to update
   my website to latest version. Thank you for pointing this out.

 * I was able to create a sub-domain site and install WP 2.7 without incident. I
   had some difficulty figuring how to import the backup file from my local machine,
   but came upon these instructions:
 * [http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup](http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup)
   (
   good stuff for a relative naive, like me)
 * That process seemed to go well, ending with a “Success” message.
 * Now, when I click on the wp-posts table in phpMyAdmin, I can see all my posts—
   So I know they’re there; however, I now get an error when I attempt to access
   the sub-domain website I created: http 500 Internal Server Error . . .
 * Not sure what that means, and I don’t know that it matters. I figured out how
   to edit entries in phpMyAdmin and I’m able to copy/paste them into a Word doc,
   so I’m happy!
 * Songdogtech, I’m very grateful for your advice! It’s great to have access to
   these journal entries, again. Thank you very much.
 * -Mike.

 * Songdogtech — Thank you. That is very helpful. I’ll give it a try right now.
   I appreciate the head’s-up on the upgrade path. My website is running the 3.0
   version; however, I can create a sub-site and install the older 2.7 version to
   that.
 * I’ll report back on how I make out with that.
 * Regards,
    -Mike.

 * Oh, one other thing. I don’t necessarily need to restore/fix the WordPress installation
   on that old machine. Just access the journal entry content.
 * I’ll likely not continue keeping my journal in WP on the new machine. I’m leaning
   toward keeping a series of Word docs, as I once did, given that my spouse and
   kids are more comfortable with Word than with WordPress.
 * When I’m gone, I’d like them to be able to easily access, copy, move, distribute,
   etc. So, I need to think in terms my ultimate audience.

 * I’m guessing the #2003 error is because I’ve shut down MySQL to avoid the pop-
   up “Access Violation” error message.

 * Okay, well that seems to be doing it. Thanks, Chris and Albert!

 * Thanks, Chris. I found a place in my admin settings to turn off pings and trackbacks.
   What will happen if I turn that setting to OFF?

 * Thanks for the link. I checked Windows Event Viewer, but found no entry relative
   to a PHP error. Also, for good measure, I took a fresh download of wp-6.2.3 and,
   after deleting the previous upload to my host’s server, uploaded the fresh files(
   having again edited the wp-config.php file).
 * Also, to free up RAM, in the event that PHP had run out of RAM, I rebooted my
   system.
 * Still getting a blank white page when running install.php. Not sure how to check
   mod_security (or even what that is).
 * Could this problem have anything to do with corrupt files in my cgi-bin folder?
