 * If WordPress wants to be a serious CMS and not just a blogging tool, I would 
   think custom forms with user defineable fields would be a requirement.

 * I’m talking about 2010 and my suggestion is based on what a non-technical user
   would want. If WordPress is supposed to be accessible and friendly to non-developers,
   making a child theme and editing CSS is not a good solution. A simple UI switch
   for those borders would be a much better approach.
