In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Tinymce colorpicker not in backup? For what it is worth: I redid the whole process and colorpicker is normally there. Probably a hick-up when uploading I guess.
So no problem! Can I get some indication that Support has read my report……….?
Added a suggestion on Feedback site.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Theme templates scanned for URL rename?I have added the suggestion of the child theme files and the .htaccess.
But what do you do with caching plugins when restoring? Clear them?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Tinymce colorpicker not in backup?Thank you. If problems persist with colorpicker after restoring I will notify you.
I know what my problem is. I am merely asking for a warning when you are restoring a backup on a site that has a different protocol that points out the potential problems. Is this possible? Or should I request such changes/additions somewhere else?
I understand. But if you want to use your back-up to migrate from http to https or vice versa these problems will always occur.
Wouldn’t a warning be in order here? Preferably when you start the restore.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Tinymce colorpicker not in backup?I checked the original WordPress installation files and colorpicker is normally there.
So I need to redo the whole process to see when the files were deleted to identify who is the culprit here…….Thanks for the link but is there also an offline version? You never know what happens when you upload your files to an online service…….

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Theme templates scanned for URL rename? Thanks for answering my query. I agree with your recommendation for inline css. But only scanning database seems to me something that should be reconsidered.
As you know css files can hold URLs and template snippets handling meta codes that also can hold URLs are not that farfetched…….
So would it all be possible to scan such files for the URL replacement?
And how about .htaccess and caches made by W3 Cache?
I would really appreciate to get at least some identifiers where an URL is found that could/should be replaced. Is this possible?I just send you a mail with an example screenshot (albeit one from a plug-in).
Thank you. The message has disappeared.
I will put this on my to do list and will sent the requested information to your mail address.
I have just sent them………..
Nope, I do not change anything in any po.
The default strings are taken from the english po I guess. After that they are fixed in Theme Customizer so any WordPress change in language does not reflect in Customizer.
Several plug-ins have the same potential issue and they solved it by offering an overrule option in Customizer. So if you do not specify anything yourself in that overrule field then the default is used (which is each time taken anew). If needed I can supply a screen shot of the part in the Customizer I am talking about? (If so you need to specify where I can send that image)
