 * 😀 Thankyou for pointing out the obvious explanation that i should’ve given.
   The reason to not convert the root WordPress site to a network has more non-technical
   than technical reasons. Its the thing that works and generates money for the
   company and we want to go the “don’t change a working system” route to test with
   the network.
 * Worst case scenario, the network is not there after some months. That is why
   we want to do the setup in this way.

    Yes, AJAX form submission
   is disabled. We get a 500 error for all submissions as soon as the premium plugin
   is enabled. We have an active license and the plugin is at version 3.3.15.
 * As of now, as soon as the premium plugin is enabled, all submissions end with
   a 500

 * [@hchouhan](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hchouhan/) For now i have done
   the following (so that the form works and we dont lose subscribers.)
    – disable
   ajax submission – disable the premium plugin (we have a premium)

 * [@hchouhan](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hchouhan/) unfortunately not.
   the only options i see are the following
 * – Mailchimp Settings
    – Lists this form subscribes to – Use double opt-in? –
   Update existing subscribers? – Subscriber tags
 * – Form Behavior
    – Hide form after a successful sign-up? – Redirect to URL after
   successful sign-ups – Enable AJAX form submission?

 * I just disabled the plugin and the urls work now, but its weird why it works
   with one theme and doesnt work with the other, especially without a meaningful
   error message.
