same problem for me too…
Specs:
PHP Version – 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.15
Wordpress – 3.3.2
BackWPup – 2.1.11
Problem:
BackWPup won’t produce any backups
– regardless of set location (tried on server in wp-content, tried email, tried sugarsync)
– regardless of compression (tried all, and according to php info, server seems to support gzip, bzip2 & zip)
– wp-content folder have permissions set to 755
