In reply to: RSS feed working?if it validates, it is “subscribable” 🙂
[edit]
(and by that, I was referring to your non-feedburner feed, not the one at feedburner).I should add that I don’t think you have the right feedburner address in your earlier post. That’s not an error, it is a 404 not found page.

In reply to: RSS feed working?Go to feedburner.google.com and log in.
Click on your feed.
At the top of the page, right below the feed title and right ablove the tabs (Analyze, Optimize, etc) click on “Edit Feed Details…”Check the Original Feed URL there. If it isn’t correct, fill it with http://www.valeriewriter.com/feed/ and then click “Save Feed Details.”
Hopefully that’ll help.

In reply to: RSS feed working?Your “real” feed is http://www.valeriewriter.com/feed/
and validates nicely.

In reply to: Many issues..there is no toolbar displayed at the top of my page which makes accessing the tools a pain, I have to go ‘back’ to
You mean like the toolbar across every page at WordPress.com? If you gotta have it, I think you’ll can find a plugin for that. If you’re looking for it just to find your login link, just add
/wp-adminto your site’s url and you’ll find it every time.Forum: Fixing WordPress

Check out the Using_Permalinks page in the docs section of this site. There are a bunch of trouble-shooting tips there to look over.
Do you manage the server or is it a shared host?

In reply to: set static homepage to /home but didn’t publish /homeYou didn’t set a static home (you’d do that under Settings -> Reading), you tried to change the WordPress URL (Settings -> General).
So first, you need to undo that bad URL. Several methods are mentioned here: Changing_The_Site_URL

In reply to: Any quick fixes for speeding up a slow wordpress site?If you provide a link to your blog, folks might be able to offer specific tips (like checking load times on any 3rd party ads and such).
A good generic answer, though, would be to suggest you look into a caching plug-in. WP Super Cache is a popular one: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/
