 * Hi Anmari,
 * Thanks for the suggestions. Here are the results:
 * 0) default permalink produces bug
    1) other shortcodes with parametres work.
   2) absense of other plugins has no effect. 2011 Theme has no effect. 3) I don’t
   have a test server handy, but I will see what I can do.

 * I’m fine with writing a bit of code to make this happen.
 * What I envision is that I put the #_CONTACTEMAIL placeholder in the ‘Notification
   sender address’ field and perhaps the #_CONTACTNAME placeholder in the ‘Notification
   sender name’ field in EM->Settings->Emails->Email Settings.
 * Then, whenever EM needs to send an email, the Email Settings would be filtered
   and subbed according to the context of the email. I would probably also add a
   filter to sub in the website default email if ‘Notification sender address’ were
   blank.
 * Is there an existing hook I could attach to for the above?

 * I localized a problem I was having with backend searches to Event Manager (by
   dint of deactivating all plugins and reactivating one by one). The problem is
   described [here ](http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/41739/admin-search-of-pages-returns-custom-post-types)(
   before I knew it was an EM issue). I resolved the issue by setting “Include in
   WordPress Searches?” = “yes”

 * I’d forgotten I had WP_DEBUG==true. Turning it off does fix the immediate issue
   in an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ sort of way.

 * I disabled all plugins except Event Manager and tried the 2011 theme. The problem
   still occurs.
 * One thing I did notice, is that all the test events I’ve been creating actually
   do end up in the Events list (both admin and on the calendar). So the SQL error
   is more alarming than harmful.

 * Hi Marcus,
 * Yes, it only happens when I try to create a new event. Both the ‘save draft’
   and the ‘Publish’ buttons will cause it.
 * Site details:
    Theme: Suffusion with child theme multisite: NO WP version: 3.3.1
 * Cheers,
    Jen
