 * Does this also prevent access to the external CDN if the plugin is used within
the EU? This violates the GDPR and therefore cannot be used without active consent.
This excludes more than 400 million EU citizens from using the plugin, and nobody
here seems to care. I can’t find any precise information about this, and here
in the forum, we always get the same half-baked and incorrect answer, at least
when it comes to the EU.
   Cheers!

 * Unfortunately, it can’t be used legally by more than 400 million EU citizens
because it accesses a CDN outside the EU. Therefore, it violates the EU’s GDPR.
But this way, even the last metadata is being accessed – that’s true freedom!

 * I don’t use Elementor. The plugin loads ja javascript from cdn.elementor.com/
   a11y/widget.js
As far as I know, it’s not permitted in the EU to load scripts
from outside the EU without the user’s prior active consent. Do I need a consent
banner just for this plugin? Do you sell one? You should at least be familiar
with the laws of the countries in which a product is sold. Besides, it’s completely
unnecessary to solve it this way. It raises the suspicion that this was just
implemented in such a way that users metadata can be intercepted and stored.
This is precisely one of the reasons why such a practice is not permitted in
   the EU.

 * I felt the same way when I was asked to install it for a client. What a disgrace.
Perhaps it would help to first inform the authorities that a product is being
distributed without any warning that violates GDPR regulations in Germany. At
the same time, all website operators should be informed that they are very likely
violating GDPR. At least Elementor can still harvest the last bit of user data
   this way.

 * It’s not free; it costs you your private data. There’s no other way these days.
I wonder what they really do with it, or is it just collecting it because people
think it’s the way it has to be these days, since everyone’s doing it that way.
