 * It works now. After starting the job I see a white screen. Clicking on the back
   button in the browser then brings me to the job overview with the running job
   information. Backups get created. Thank you.

 * Unfortunately no backup error log is created. I’ve tried now the setting in wp-
   config.php
 * define( ‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true );
 * However, no success. I still see the error message, that the job didn’t respond
   for 10 seconds.

 * I’ve read the mentioned troubleshooting page. However there isn’t mentioned anything
   about the case I have here:
