 * Same here, no languages. Nowhere to get them either. Does this thing work at
   all?

 * I haven’t used any plug-ins to translate or localize my theme, I have used .mo
   and .po files generated by poedit, a stand alone application. When changing the
   WPLANG codes it affects the site language, not just the WP admin interface. That
   is as I’m trying to explain the issue here.
 * By the way, here is a sample from the WP localization guide:
 * “you’ll need to make sure your wp-config.php file matches your language files.
   For example, if you’re using a French translation, you’ll need to add the fr_FR.
   po and fr_FR.mo files to your theme folder, then set your language in wp-config.
   php, like this:
 * define (‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_FR’);
 * So, according to this if you change the WPLANG language code the translation
   will be affected. That doesnt correspond with my first install cause I had a
   Norwegian WLPANG with an English WP admin language. My localization files were
   nb_NO.mo and nb_NO.po and the language in the wp-config.php was (‘WPLANG’, ‘nb_NO’);
   I had an English program version of WP and the interface was English. That all
   changed after I updated as mentioned. I had a look at the wp-config.php file
   and it’s unchanged.
 * So, it all worked fine before the update and it didn’t after the update. Beats
   me. If I change the (‘WPLANG’, ‘nb_NO’); to (‘WPLANG’, ‘en_US’); it affects the
   site language, in other words the localization. Just as the above localization
   guide suggests.

 * esmi,
 * It doesn’t work. When the WPLANG code is changed it affects the site language
   too. I’ve made heaps of translations on this particulate site, not only trough
   localization alterations in the php files but also within the theme I’m using.
   I thought maybe that’s why plugin like this were invented?
 * [http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-native-dashboard/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-native-dashboard/)
 * I haven’t yet tried it in fear of making the problem even worse. Wanted to see
   if anyone had any other suggestions. As mentioned this all worked fine before
   I updated the WP version. When looking at the WPLANG codes its exactly the same
   as before I updated! So, this is a nightmare.

 * No, that will change the site language. A corresponding MO file for the chosen
   language must then be installed to wp-content/languages. That’s a theme localization
   and I don’t want that. As an example I have a Norwegian site language (‘WPLANG’,‘
   nb_NO’); but if I changed that to English it would become a theme localization.

 * esmi,
 * I’m only interested in having the WP interface language in English. So, no matter
   what language I have in the site the admin will always be in English. The .po
   and .mo files can vary based on the languages I have in the site but I don’t
   want this to affect what admin language I have. After I updated WP to 3.7.1 all
   of a sudden my WP interface became the same as my site language, but it was not
   like that in the prior version.
 * Could something like this plugin fix this problem?

 * But do you know if I can continue using domestic email domains if I go for a
   foreign host? How are they in terms of stability and support response? My sites
   cater to my domestic audience, but if they are served from the states, then the
   require time gets longer?

 * torsten.dreier,
 * Do you have any suggestions for host company? I guess I’ve been with that host
   too long now, they don’t seem to be very WP orientated. The name is Webhuset
   and they are located in the town of Bergen in Norway. I’ve always wanted to be
   connected to a domestic host as it’s kinda practical.

 * My host has replied. They are requesting php listings that is missing, they say
   the developer of the plug-in needs to provide the information. I have no idea
   what they are referring to here

 * Hi,
 * Thanks for the response.
 * My host is just a host, the CMS installation belongs completely to me. My host
   has nothing to do with that. I don’t run any free themes, I have bought a theme
   that is very popular and being used by thousands. It’s called Blue Diamond.
 * I’m sorry. I can’t spend a great deal of time trying to make this thing work.
   I’ll just try another plug-in that does the same or simply just copy my server
   files from the server. As a matter of fact that seems like the fastest and best
   option anyhow. Doesn’t look like I will miss any magic here. All I want is to
   take backup’s.

 * My host hasn’t installed my WP account. I have. So they haven’t disabled anything
   in my install. I’m running a standard WP install. If your program can’t run on
   a standard WP install and if people need to make advance preparations for it
   to work, then perhaps you should inform of that in advance? My host has no access
   to WP.

 * This didn’t work for me at all. I clicked Backup Now but nothing happened, I
   clicked the somewhat worrying link named “_click here if this doesn’t work_”
   Where have we seen that before? Well that page was so smacked full of tech talk
   so I just went back. Isn’t this plugin supposed to work without having to re-
   program WordPress and dedicate a week for reading of error pages? I see that
   the program has scheduled backups without me having done that at all, it’s just
   a mess I’m afraid. Bug?
 * Seems like it’s so much easier to just copy every folder from the server to my
   local machine. Takes 5 minutes and doesn’t take more than one click. Or am I
   missing some hidden magic here?

 * Next to path directory it says _Needs to already exist_
 * Is this the folder where the backup is going? What needs to exist? A new folder
   thats dedicated to this?

 * Hi again,
 * There is still something strange about this because I’ve never had more than
   three access data elements ever. This is how I’ve always logged in via ftp to
   my servers:
 * Username
    Password remote host name
 * In this plug in it’s four access fields:
 * FTP Server:
    FTP Login: FTP Password: Remote Path:
 * So, if FTP server is the hostname, then what is Remote path? This is why I asked
   questions about this, it looks like its not corresponding with standard FTP access
   methods.

 * David, that didn’t answer anything. I’ve had different ftp clients since 1996
   and I’ve never come across any differences, they are all constructed like I mentioned
   in my post. So, all I need to know now is HOW this WP plugin works in context
   of data input, no one seems to know…
