I actually found the issue. I am truly sorry for having spent your time on this.

I added dates to my products too far into the future.
When I changed 2024-08-25 to 2022-12-13 all of these problems got solved. Of course – Google could have given better error messages though!

Since the dates are sometimes hard to give exact (Depending on supplier stock):
Would it be possible to programatically add the availability date e.g. 21 days ahead of current time, all the time – as in “using a code snippet” for this?

    Thank you very much!

I was able to add some more information to this post, as it is a strange problem.
It seems to be correct both in Raw Format and in the DB, but Google still flags it and complaining about the date beeing in the wrong format.

I really have no idea how to do that.

But now you guys know that this is in fact a quite big issue for many shops outside the US.

I therefore trust you to do this, as a part of supporting this plugin.

    Hmm?

So what you are saying is that in order for Google Listings and Ads to work correctly, I have to globally change the date to what is “normal in the US” through my Norwegian shop – where our “normal dateformat” alway has been dd.mm.yyyy.

If I change it like you say, this will change the way the dates look on register date, order date, shipping date, and all other dates – JUST so that Google can accept that I have products in backorder?

In other words – If I have Google Listings and Ads activated. There is no use for the time and date settings in WordPress, since the time and date always have to be set to fit the American standard πŸ˜…

I really hope I have misunderstood you here πŸ™‚
But if not – it seems like there have to be room for a re-tweak after version 1.4 ?

Not sure why, but I don’t like to share all that information on a public forum :p

I can confirm I don’t have any firewall plugins or security plugins set up within my wordpress installations. I am using a Cloudways server that do use firewalls, but I don’t think that is the problem.

About 24 hours ago I disconnected both shops from all three services (google, wordpress and merchant center) and then I went through the setup all over and connected each shop again to all three services.

Both shops are now still connected. “Normally” one of them would have been disconnected by now, so hopefully the problem resolved itself somehow.

So thanks for you help so far on the issue! πŸ˜€

I have a couple of more question now that things seems to work:

    1. Everything is “in the green”, products are marked as active in merchant center for shopping ads, free listings and dynamic remarketing. All 4000 products are set up with GTIN’s and colors etc.

On shop 1, Under Google Listings and Ads -> Product Feed
    This is what I see:

Feed setup: Free listings setup completed – 98 issues to resolve
Sync with Google: Automatically synced to GoogleLast updated: 27. November 2022, 15:45, containing 2913 products
Account status: Approved Your products listings are on Google.

On shop 2, Under Google Listings and Ads -> Product Feed
    This is what I see:

Feed setup: Free listings setup completed 73 issues to resolve
Sync with Google: Automatically synced to GoogleLast updated: 27. November 2022, 15:45, containing 1334 products
(No Account status shown here for shop 2)

    Question 1:
As shown above in my quote’s – Shop 2 does not have the Approved Account status, like shop 1 has under Product Feed. Is there something I’ve NOT done correctly, or will this come automatically once they approve the account?

    Question 2:
None of my products shows up in Google Shopping tab for any of the shops – even if I search for any exact product title. Is all I have to do is wait a few days?

Thanks, I’ve already read through that article.
I’ve disconnected all three and connected from the start again.
Same thing happens after a little while – one of the shops disconnects from the google account.

I think this is the reason:

I have two shops which both connects to the same google user, but at the end connects to its own merchant center.

It seems like the last store to connect to google, is the one that gets disconnected after a while.

The reason they connect to the same google account, is because this google account is also the account that holds all the properties inside Webmaster Tools / Search console.

I’m not sure if it’s very easy to “switch” both google account, merchant center, ads account etc. for one of the shops, without losing lots of old information?

Analytics? I never asked about that.
I asked about the activity panel that gives an overview over orders and other things happening in your store.

    https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/activity-panel2.jpg

As you can see the image, this was inside the Admin plugin that is now integrated into Woocommerce core. But in Woocommerce core this activity panel looks nothing like the one shown in the image.

I don’t know why you show me the analytics link?

Sometimes I feel this support forum on wordpress plugin library is just for fun.

But I did find it eventually. It is on the top right, and it slides in from the right. I don’t know why I didn’t pay attention to it, but for several months I’ve never thought about it being there.

    Thanks.

I don’t think you read my full topic though.. πŸ˜‰

As this plugin is supposed to come packed with Woocommerce core, should I be able to find this in my store? I can’t see or find it, so I was just wondering if it was dropped in the stable version?

😍 that link was new to me. Thanks!

    (@gomle)

    Thanks! That makes things clearer.
But will Banhammer block or ban anything automatically in the free version, or will it just be monitoring, and then I have to block the hits I see on wp-login.php myself?

[…] but in general just blocking any unwanted traffic is a solid way to fend off the attacks.

Yes – this is what I want to do.
I am willing to spend some money on this, but I do not want to spend it on any of the “big bloaty security plugins”.

What would you suggest – to block unwanted traffic, without using a heavy plugin or sacrifice page speed?

@cebuss lol, exactly my thoughts too.

Thanks, but this doesn’t work very well.

It works for links with <a href="">link text</a> but not for http://this.is-a-link.com

It also doesn’t work for links where people who did not understand bbcode added a link that looked like e.g: <a href="<a href=something">and another terrible mess</a></a>
On the above, it should run a much more solid regex, to remove EVERYTHING between <a href=""> and </a>

Also, it doesn’t work to remove the full link for all types of links, e.g.
    https://this.is-a-link.com/index.php?ref=something&ref2=somethingelse

On the above link, it removes everything in front of the query.

That sounds absolutely perfect! The WP community are in great need of a plugin like this that really does the job. Thank you very much for supporting it, and keeping it maintained!

Maybe I can suggest to add a way to replace the broken link with plain text πŸ˜‰

Will it be released as an update to this plugin, or should I pay attention to some other site for the “relaunch”?

    Thread Starter Gomle

    (@gomle)

Ah, then the plugin doesn’t do much directly after install I’m afraid.

I tried setting on The “Nuclear Option” though. That worked, but then it browsed through 140k pages in a very short time, using about 80% of server resources. Soo I’d rather not do that daily πŸ™‚

    (@gomle)

Oh – and also, it would be fantastic to have an option when unlinking:

Replace the link with text [input field]

This way we could remove the links, and replace it by e.g. “<i>This link was outdated, and removed</i>”
