  • Went back to an old version and installed an update manager plugin to hide and prevent the ticket plugin from updating. The advantage is that you don’t need to subscribe to their dodgy updates.

I’m disgusted that the service is so bad given how much they charge. If it plays up more it will be time to find a better solution.

Yes, but you get it working then one of their dodgy updates screws it. I’ve had to go back to 2017 backups to get my site working.

Thanks for that, it’s working fine now.

Yes, it’s fixed my problem too; back to my favourite SEO package, SEO Yoast!

    Thanks guys.

I’ve switched over to All In One SEO and it’s all fine now.

Yes, I am using the latest Plugins. When Yoast SEO is disabled there are no problems.

So I guess it’s easier and cheaper for me not to use Yoast SEO.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else has issues when Gutenberg is rolled out further.

Actually, just disabled Yoast SEO and it works fine now.

    Hi Becky
Forgot to answer, disabling other plugins doesn’t help.

    Cheers
    Glenn.

    NextGEN Gallery
    Deactivate
The most popular gallery plugin for WordPress and one of the most popular plugins of all time with over 22 million downloads.

    Version 3.0.8 |

    Gutenberg
    Activate | Delete
Printing since 1440. This is the development plugin for the new block editor in core.

Version 3.8.0 | By Gutenberg Team | View details

It does the same thing for two sites. When I click on the “Manage Galleries” it’s like the page keeps calling itself adding to the length of the URL in the browser address bar when it finally fails because the URL is now too long.

Hope this helps. I wish Gutenberg and NextGen could get along 🙂

    Glenn

    (@glenneaton)

I had to remove Gutenberg as it was affecting NextGen gallery.

    Glenn

    (@glenneaton)

I am having the same issue setting up a new website. Any help would be great. None of the other Galleries I have created have the same problem.

    Glenn

    (@glenneaton)

I have put in the token but all I get is a “Load More” button which doesn’t work either.

    Glenn

    (@glenneaton)

That sounds like a great idea for the future. If you go away from Divi for example your site looks like a mess.

I will check it out again once Gutenberg has matured a bit more.

Maybe if it could be activated for certain users it would be more useful. Joomla allows different users to use different editors.

    Glenn

    (@glenneaton)

    Thanks, I didn’t know that 🙂
