 * for the record: I did send you a reply on the same day with the following content:

   > No idea what caused the change. I did have a conversation with my ISP prior
   > to posting the issue, and they said they would look into it. Maybe they’ve 
   > made some adjustments on their side in the meantime. Wouldn’t tell me if they
   > did. I checked both phpinfo() from this morning and current side by side, but
   > found no difference.
 * The ISP has a habit of making changes in configuration without giving feedback
   about it, so it’s hard to tell.
 * So far, I encountered no more issues.
