 * Hi [@krystian](https://wordpress.org/support/users/krystian/),
 * thanks for the suggestion — I tested the filter:
 *     ```wp-block-code
       add_filter( 'woocommerce_paypal_payments_simulate_cart_enabled', '__return_false' );
       ```
 * After enabling this, the excessive `place-order-debug-*` logs stopped on my side.
 * From what I can see in the access logs, the issue was caused by repeated `wc-
   ajax=ppc-simulate-cart` requests. Disabling the cart simulation seems to prevent
   WooCommerce from triggering those checkout-related debug logs.
 * So this looks directly related to the cart simulation behavior introduced around
   v4.0.3.
 * Thanks again — this workaround solves the issue for now 👍
 * Best regards
   Gerd
