Thank you!
Good question!
Yes this would be a problem.
It will cause an issue if you tried to use the same slug for different post types or for multiple archives as there would be two different event listings trying to use the same page.
I would recommend using different slugs. I’ll add a check in a future update to alert the user if they try to do so. Thanks for asking this question. There isn’t! Though this will be the case after the update I have been mentioning. It makes sense to add.
That filter only shows in the non-month views:

I should add a note to that particular filter to make this clear though! I will do so in an update.
Are you hoping to show the past month first or is there a use case I’m not considering that you are hoping for?Hi hbee!
This sort of way of displaying events isn’t yet possible but it should be!
I will work on adding some setting to the calendars to allow this and will include it in an update. I’ll post here when it’s ready. The free version of the plugin, which is available here in the WordPress.org plugin repository, will always be free!
What you are seeing are all of the paid versions which have features that are not available in the free version.Hey jarxabi,
This is something we are working on for the paid Pro version at the moment. If that is something that might interest you, feel free to reach out on the website for more information:

Thanks for letting me know.
That’s great! Thank you so much that really helps 🙂
It would be good to see if more are bothered by it! Thanks for bringing it up. Another item that could be changed if needed.
Yes more good ideas!
The ability to duplicate an event is something that is planned for the paid “Pro” version. I’m always considering how to balance the free and pro versions though so that may change.
As for editing a single recurrence or creating a one-off event inside a recurrence is a bit tricky. This is another one I know many would find useful but haven’t committed to building it in quite yet!
Thanks for the input as always 🙂This is another good idea! I think it makes sense to add a solution for this in the plugin. I’m not sure if any of the import/export plugins will work properly with Event Genius. I might have to test a few.
I’m working on a few other items but will come around to this after.
I’m glad you like the plugin! Have you considered leaving a review? This really helps others find the plugin and start using it. I am glad you are posting for help either way. Here is a link in case:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/event-genius/reviews/No worries! I appreciate you posting and am happy to reply. It encourages others to post as well as they can see that we respond to questions and respond to issues quickly.
This one is a bit tricky as that input field is a standard HTML of type “datetime-local”. It’s up to your browser to format the date and time.
I have a note about this though to see if there might be more that can be done, or possibly a switch to a different date and time selection solution in the future.Hmm this is a good idea. If nothing else it makes sense to add a class to each event listing that allows targeting by category. This is done inconsistently at the moment.
I’ve added a note for the future. I’ll mark this as a closed issue for now! If anyone else would like to add input please do.
