Hello jkomar,
Thanks for mentioning this!
It shouldn’t be the case that past events show a 404 error. I wonder if there is some other issue occurring.
Can you send me a link that isn’t working (goes to a 404 page) as well as a link to a page with the calendar or list of events on it? What is the title of the event that is missing? I’ll take a look if so.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Event Genius - Event Management, Registration, RSVP, and Tickets] Small fontAhh yes I see what you mean!
The latest update addressed some odd alignment issues in certain themes. This is probably a result of that. Let me take a look and include a fix in the next update! It will likely be out next week.Hey hbee!
If you have a block based theme you can edit the template responsible for single events to add this Yoast breadcrumb block:

You can also add this to a non block based theme using the same block but it will appear inside the content and is probably not what you are hoping for.
It looks simple to add support for this for all situations, however, so I’ll include this in an update next week! That sounds like a good plan to me 🙂
I thought I would mention that reviews are really helpful to spread the word about the plugin and the support we offer. Happy to continue to help either way! Here is a link if you are interested:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/event-genius/reviews/There were many updates and refinements for calendars in version 1.9. Let me know if this is still an issue for you!
Please update to version 1.9 available now.
This will fix the issue! Please update to version 1.9 available now.
The same filtering and sorting settings should help with this issue as I mentioned in your other thread.
Thanks!Thanks for your patience!
Please update to version 1.9 available now.
If you edit a calendar, there will be more display and sorting options available. What you want to do should be possible now. I’ll consider this resolved but let me know if anything is still off. This is another great feature request and it makes a lot of sense!
I’m currently working on several other features to round out the experience of a single site owner or a small group of event contributors. It will be some time before I get to a feature to allow logged-out visitors to submit events from the front-end of the site.
So no good news on this one! It will most likely be months before this is built.
Thanks again for taking the time to ask 🙂Does it redirect to that URL or is this what your browser auto-completes when you enter the home page URL?
I do see that when two calendars are on the same page, the URL filtering applies to both. I think I can fix this.
To preserve the filters and pagination should someone want to share an event listing, the URL is updated with the parameters to make sure that the calendar state is preserved. For the sake of efficiency and flexibility, the filtering and pagination is handled using AJAX. I thought I would include this technical explanation in case someone else comes across the thread or in case you were interested 🙂
Otherwise the redirect could be due to some setting with your browser or perhaps a caching plugin. I don’t seem to get redirected when I visit the home page.Yes I will take a look and if there is a bug, will fix it very soon! I’ll get back to you if I’m unable to see it occur during tests.
You’re welcome 🙂
No problem! I think the update that includes these changes will be available either late next week or the following week.
No problem! Happy to give assistance.
Now that you mention that fact it makes sense.
I could see that filter confusing people navigating through months. Maybe the best option would be to include past events in search results in the month view always. I think that is the optimal way to do it but I’ll give it a bit more though and include it in an update.
