I understand that. But if the problem is that someone can took from the plugin the security data, why dont you just create your own database and connect the plugin with that database in a live/cloud model? You could even have your database and other databases at the same time like WPscanner database and join them in the cloud/live scanning. * I really dont understand this fat client approach. And it is bad, because it will take time for you to include new data and put it online. and then for we to update and run it again. * You can even go further and make your clients register using the plugin so that they can get new security data after install (a free registration). I realized that even your historical data is not very good. I run other similar plugins and look for vulnerabilities for well known plugins I have installed and you are not reporting all of them. For instance, the WordPress SEO had a lot of security issues. This history shows that they are very bad in security. I can see that a security plugin like “Exploit scanner” had security vulnerabilities! At least we can get a feel of the historical security of the plugins. And that I believe I could use the plugin. However, it also post comments on the facebook. Near the post button, where jetpack give the options to be notified by email, that plugin also has the option to post the comment on facebook. * So in facebook you will get an entry saying that the user post the comment (with the comment text) in the following page (a link) and an image of the post. So, it is similar to post on facebook the page post, but instead you are posting the comment. With the other plugin you can then get the comments to that comment in facebook to wordpress, but that is another functionality.
