My feeling is that DM Albums must use some GD functions for image processing that don’t exist on your server and it is failing to start up. Pinpointing the specific function will be a difficult process if I don’t have more information, however. Supporting remote images is something I’ve always wanted to support, but have not been able to overcome the performance hit of needing to download the images on the remote server onto the local server for processing.
